The world is catching on to the power of visual models in any complex, value-based communication. A game-changing visual model should achieve three things.
Context is usually the first perspective that is lost in a communication. A well-built model holds the context front and centre, all the way through the communication.
Too often the sale is lost when context is lost and the discussion drops into process and price, without the power of purpose behind it.
A great model stops that from happening and makes you a great framer of context.
A powerful visual model will also SHOW the viewer "Conceptual Genius" - YOUR BIG IDEA.
Complex communication is usually about helping the other person understand the true conceptual genius of what you're proposing. If they can't SEE your genius, they can't VALUE your genius ... or BUY your genius!
But there's an even more profound purpose served by a great model ... and I just don't have the room here to explore it.
